Etika-Publikasi
Publication Ethics
These publication ethics serve as guidelines for all parties involved in the scholarly publishing process, including authors, editors, reviewers, and the publisher. This journal is committed to maintaining academic integrity, transparency, objectivity, and the quality of scientific publications in accordance with the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) Core Practices and the Indonesian Code of Ethics for Scientific Publication as stipulated in the Regulation of the Head of the Indonesian Institute of Sciences (LIPI) No. 5 of 2014 concerning the Code of Ethics for Scientific Publication.
Duties and Responsibilities of Editors
Editors are responsible for deciding whether a submitted manuscript is suitable for publication based on its scientific quality, originality, novelty, relevance, and contribution to the advancement of knowledge. Editorial decisions must be made objectively without discrimination based on race, gender, religion, nationality, institutional affiliation, or political beliefs of the authors.
Editors must maintain the confidentiality of all information related to submitted manuscripts and must not use unpublished materials disclosed in a manuscript for personal research or any other purpose without the author's explicit written consent. If publication misconduct is suspected, including plagiarism, data fabrication, data falsification, citation manipulation, or copyright infringement, the editor shall take appropriate actions in accordance with the COPE guidelines.
Duties and Responsibilities of Reviewers
Reviewers assist editors in making editorial decisions through the peer-review process. Reviews should be conducted objectively, independently, constructively, and professionally, based solely on the scientific merit of the manuscript.
Reviewers are required to maintain the confidentiality of all information contained in the manuscripts they evaluate. Any conflict of interest that may affect the objectivity of the review must be disclosed immediately to the editor. Reviewers should identify relevant published works that have not been cited by the authors and report any suspected plagiarism, duplicate publication, or other ethical concerns to the editor. Information obtained during the review process must not be used for personal advantage.
Duties and Responsibilities of Authors
Authors are required to present their research honestly, accurately, objectively, and transparently. They are responsible for ensuring that the submitted manuscript is original and free from plagiarism, data fabrication, data falsification, or any other form of research misconduct.
Authors must properly acknowledge all sources through appropriate citations and references. A manuscript must not be submitted simultaneously to more than one journal, nor should substantially the same work be published in multiple journals without prior disclosure and approval from the editors.
Authors are also required to disclose all sources of research funding, where applicable. All individuals who have made significant scholarly contributions to the research should be listed as authors, while individuals who have not made substantial contributions should not be included as authors. If a significant error or inaccuracy is discovered after publication, the corresponding author must promptly notify the editor to enable the publication of a correction or, if necessary, the retraction of the article.
Plagiarism Policy
All submitted manuscripts are screened using plagiarism detection software prior to the peer-review process. This journal accepts manuscripts with a maximum similarity index of 20%, while considering the nature and context of the similarity rather than relying solely on the percentage score. Manuscripts found to contain plagiarism or other forms of unethical publication practices may be rejected or withdrawn from the publication process.
Conflict of Interest
Authors, editors, and reviewers are required to disclose any financial, institutional, professional, or personal conflicts of interest that could influence the preparation, review, editorial decision-making, or publication of a manuscript.
Corrections and Retractions
The journal reserves the right to publish corrections, clarifications, expressions of concern, or retract published articles if substantial errors, publication misconduct, data manipulation, plagiarism, duplicate publication, or other forms of academic misconduct are identified. All corrective actions will be undertaken in accordance with the recommendations of COPE.
Open Access Policy
This journal adopts an Open Access policy, allowing all published articles to be freely accessed, read, downloaded, copied, distributed, and used for lawful academic purposes in accordance with the applicable licensing terms. This policy promotes the broad dissemination of scientific knowledge and research findings for the benefit of the global academic community.
Ethical Statement
By submitting a manuscript to this journal, the authors declare that the work is original, has not been previously published, is not under consideration for publication elsewhere, and complies with the ethical standards and editorial policies of this journal, as guided by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and the Indonesian Code of Ethics for Scientific Publication (LIPI Regulation No. 5 of 2014).
